Counselling / Psychotherapy Placements
Meridian Therapeutic Services CIC offers supportive counselling placements for trainee and qualified therapists to gain experience and work towards qualification and / or accreditation. We accept applications from people that are on recognised courses accredited through CPCAB, colleges or universities (from level 4 to level 7) and that are willing to work with clients in person and online. A four way agreement must be in place between training provider, student, placement and supervisor. Applicants must be a member of UKCP, BACP or NCPS and have completed enough training and skills practice to be signed off by tutors as fit to practice or are fully qualified at a minimum of level 4. We do not currently offer in house supervision and regular supervision must be in place through an external supervisor.
We are currently taking applications for child counselling placements. To apply for a child placement please complete the application form below and you will be informed if you are to be invited to the centre for an interview.
Child Counselling Placement Application FormWe are not currently accepting applications for adult placements. Our application process will open between September 2026 and November 2026. Applications can be made through a link that will be shown here. If you are to be invited to interview you will be informed in December 2026 and invited for an interview on 23rd January 2027. Placements can begin once paperwork has been completed after February 2027.
All trainees on placement must be in weekly personal therapy throughout their placement. Clients that we work with benefit from humanistic, psychodynamic, CBT and Integrative approaches.
