Counselling Placements at The Meridian Centre

Counselling / Psychotherapy Placements

Meridian Therapeutic Services CIC offers supportive counselling placements for trainee and qualified therapists to gain experience and work towards qualification and / or accreditation. We accept applications from people that are on recognised courses accredited through CPCAB, colleges or universities (from level 4 to level 7) and that are willing to work with clients in person and online. A four way agreement must be in place between training provider, student, placement and supervisor. Applicants must be a member of UKCP, BACP or NCPS and have completed enough training and skills practice to be signed off by tutors as fit to practice or are fully qualified at a minimum of level 4. We do not currently offer in house supervision and regular supervision must be in place through an external supervisor.

We are currently taking applications for child counselling placements. To apply for a child placement please email your CV to us and you will be informed if you are to be invited to the centre for an interview. To apply for an adult placement please email us an up to date CV with two references in January or June and group interviews will take place in February and July. We do not accept applications outside of these times and we cannot save and store applications if they are sent at other times during the year. Clients that we work with benefit from humanistic, psychodynamic, CBT and Integrative approaches.
